Naming your baby seems to be one of those things that can take time and be a bit of a process. Some parents already have names picked out before baby is born, while others may take a few days postpartum to really decide on the right name. If you are looking for some good ole’ strong English boy names check out the list I came up with below.

A fun little backstory
Now here is the cool thing! I was born and raised in England, in a small town called Shepshed, which is close to Leicestershire, Nottingham (you know, Robin Hood), Birmingham, and Manchester.
For about 15 years I lived in the beautiful green countryside of England. I went to your typical British school, where you wore a uniform and walked to the fish and chip shop for lunchtime.
Throughout my childhood I knew many different boys. Whether friends at school, cousins, uncles, teachers, and so on.
So, I thought it would be kind of cool to incorporate all of those English names into my list.
I also added the typical old-fashioned English boy names that are classic and timeless too!
We named our little boy Thomas which actually was a family name, a pretty typical English boy name and a name my husband and I both agreed on. He also goes by Tom and Tommy which all have a good British ring to them too.
When I was pregnant and we were thinking about names, it is interesting to see how names can vary so much from country to country. I wanted a good strong boy name, that wasn’t something that sounded like I had made it up.
I live in Utah and I feel like a lot of names fall into that category…. Not that there is anything wrong with that by any means, just not really my style.
Anyway, without further ado, here is my list of strong English baby boy names.
